Positive Social Behaviors:
During our recording sessions I had learned that there are reasons behind people ghosting, and most of the time it is because they lack good communication skills. Having good communication skills is really important in order to have a happy relationship with friends, partners, or even with family. Another thing that I have learned was that just talking things out will give you and the other people involved some closure with the situation. I can say that talking things out after the fact really helps with coming to terms with how things have ended. I will definitely try to become better at communicating, while it will be a bit difficult I think that I could do it.
Positive Mental Behaviors:
While recording and researching I had learned that giving yourself complements every few hours or even days will make you feel better about yourself. By complementing yourself you are essentially conditioning your brain into viewing yourself as a good looking/functioning person, so that will make you overall happy to be here. Another thing that I had learned was that practicing being open with yourself will improve your mental health and relationships around you. You can be open with yourself by writing out your feeling in a journal or saying them out loud, so that way you can hear them and not just think them. I also learned that by appreciating the little things in life, you will become a more cheerful/grateful person. Before this class I thought that looking for the little things was a bit dumb, I thought that you should focus on the more important stuff. But recently I have started to appreciate the small things and I honestly feel a bit better mentally, so after this class is over I do plan on having this mindset still.
Positive Physical Behaviors:
While recording our last episode "Self love is the Best Love" I learned that there are many different ways a person treats themselves/ loves themselves. For example I learned that you can make self love fun by making it like a little game every once in a while, so that way you don't get so used to it and it becomes like a chore. I also learned that by taking care of your outer appearance you are also taking care of your mental health, by making yourself feel more comfortable and confident. Another thing I learned was that some people don't see showers as being a method of self care, I personally see it as self care because I have the time I have to myself, and I just get to relax in the water and listen to my music in peace. Over the quarter I learned to look for the little things in life, and to appreciate them, so I started to see showers as one of the little things I get to appreciate.
